An exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-growing online education business! Are you a highly organised, proactive Operations Manager who loves bringing structure to a busy, entrepreneurial business? Do you enjoy taking ownership, keeping projects on track and making sure great ideas become reality? Our client is an exciting, fast-growing online education business supporting children with ADHD and their families. Following a hugely successful launch, they're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the business, freeing up the founders to focus on growth and development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a dynamic environment and has the confidence to take the lead. You'll be working closely with the founders and a small team of employees and external partners, playing a central role in shaping how the business operates as it grows. The role is initially three days per week, with scope for hours and responsibilities to evolve as the business develops. The Role This is a hands-on operational management role with real responsibility and autonomy. You'll be the person who keeps everything moving, ensuring projects are delivered, deadlines are met and the various teams and partners work effectively together. Your responsibilities will include: Operational management:
Taking ownership of day-to-day operations, establishing clear priorities, managing workflows and ensuring everyone knows what needs to happen and when. Project coordination and delivery:
Managing multiple projects, keeping track of deadlines, following up on actions and ensuring initiatives are delivered successfully. Content and marketing:
Coordinating content production and marketing activity, working with external agencies, creative partners and the founders to keep campaigns and content on schedule. Performance reporting:
Monitoring key business metrics, including membership numbers, customer acquisition, cancellations, marketing performance and conversion rates, producing clear weekly updates. Product launches:
Planning and coordinating new product and service launches, bringing together the people, processes and resources needed for success. Customer experience:
Overseeing the operational processes that support a positive experience for families, including lesson scheduling, communications and customer support workflows. Systems and processes:
Developing efficient ways of working, documenting processes and identifying opportunities to use technology, automation and AI to improve productivity. You'll work closely with the founders, taking agreed priorities and turning them into clear plans and actions. This is a role for someone who enjoys making things happen rather than simply coordinating activity. About You We're looking for an experienced, resourceful Operations Manager who combines excellent organisational skills with commercial awareness, confidence and plenty of initiative. You'll ideally bring: At least three years' experience in operations or project management, ideally within a start-up, digital business, agency, online education or subscription-based organisation. A real grasp of online marketing: paid social, funnels, email and the metrics behind them. You don't need to run the ads, but you need to know when the numbers are off. Hands-on experience using CRM systems and marketing automation tools, such as GoHighLevel, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign or similar. Confidence using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve processes, save time and increase efficiency. Strong numerical skills and the ability to work comfortably with spreadsheets, reports and performance data. Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to keep colleagues, senior stakeholders and external partners accountable. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to prioritise, make decisions and work independently. You'll be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where ideas move quickly and priorities can change. You'll enjoy bringing order to complexity, anticipating what needs doing and taking responsibility for getting things over the line. Experience of online courses, membership businesses, product launches or working with creative founders would be particularly useful. However,
a background in education or SEND is not essential. Above all, we're looking for someone with the confidence, initiative and organisational ability to become a trusted right hand to the founders. The Benefits Salary Β£35,000 FTE (Β£21,000 per annum for three days per week). Permanent, part-time position, initially three days per week. Fully remote working from anywhere in the UK. Preferred working days of Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Opportunity for the role to develop as the business grows. 5.6 weeks' annual leave including bank holidays, pro rata. Workplace pension. Close working relationship with the founders and the opportunity to influence how the business develops. A varied, rewarding role within an ambitious organisation making a genuine difference to children and families. There may occasionally be a requirement to support evening launches or webinars. Interested? If you're an experienced Operations Manager looking for a rewarding part-time role where your skills, initiative and ideas will be genuinely valued, we'd love to hear from you. This is a wonderful opportunity to become an integral part of a growing business, helping to create the structure and processes that will support its future success.
