If you're someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being at the centre of a busy finance function, this could be a brilliant next step. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in keeping everything running smoothly from day-to-day transactions through to supporting audits and improving processes. It's a hands-on role where your input will genuinely make a difference.
You’ll be involved in:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices accurately
- Managing staff expenses and payment runs
- Bank reconciliations and cash management
- Credit control and chasing outstanding invoices
- Maintaining ledgers and accounting records
- Producing reports (including flash and aged debt reports)
- Supporting the annual audit process
- Responding to finance queries across the business
- Identifying and contributing to process improvements
There’s also the opportunity to step up and provide cover for the Head of Finance - a great chance to broaden your exposure.
You’ll be someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, enjoys working as part of a team, and is keen to build your experience in a growing business. We’re looking for:
- Solid grounding in basic accounting principles and double-entry
- Experience with accounting systems and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities
- Confident communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Knowledge of UK financial regulations
