The Opportunity Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for a new opportunity where you can put your expertise to good use, enjoy a supportive team environment and benefit from a shorter working week? Our client is a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. They're looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their team in King's Lynn, supporting the smooth and accurate running of the firm's financial transactions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail of legal accounts, takes pride in getting things right and values being part of a friendly, professional team. With a full-time working week of just 35 hours, the option to work from 30 hours and an excellent benefits package, there's plenty to like about this opportunity! The Role You'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the firm's accounts, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, and in line with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. Responsibilities will include: Processing client and office account transactions, including receipts, payments and transfers. Preparing and processing electronic payments, including CHAPS and Faster Payments. Checking completion statements, invoices and disbursements. Maintaining accurate financial records and client ledgers. Carrying out bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. Responding to accounts queries from fee earners and colleagues. Supporting month-end processes and general accounts administration. Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and internal financial procedures. About You We're looking for someone who brings previous legal cashiering experience and a confident, methodical approach to their work. You'll ideally have: Experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm. A good working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal accounting procedures. Experience of electronic banking systems, client accounts and payment processing. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ideally legal accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. The ability to prioritise your workload and remain accurate during busy periods. A proactive, helpful approach and the confidence to work independently as well as part of a team. Salary of up to £35,000 FTE ·
Part or full time hours - 30–35 hours per week, with a 35-hour full-time working week. Generous holiday allowance and strong benefits package.
