Our client, based in Petersfield, is a well-established organisation committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and excellent services to its residents. They are looking to appoint a Property & Compliance Administrator on a permanent basis from September to join their friendly Property Team. This is a varied and rewarding part-time role where your work will directly contribute to ensuring residents' homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Property, you'll provide essential administrative support across the property function, with a particular focus on safety and compliance. You'll coordinate compliance inspections, maintain accurate records, monitor follow-up actions and help ensure statutory requirements are met across areas including gas, electrical, fire safety, legionella and asbestos. Alongside this, you'll support the wider Property Team with planned works, complex repairs, contractor administration and resident communications, helping projects run smoothly and ensuring residents are kept informed every step of the way.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and maintaining records for all property safety and compliance inspections.
  • Scheduling inspections and ensuring certificates and supporting documentation are accurately recorded.
  • Monitoring outstanding compliance actions and ensuring follow-up work is completed within required timescales.
  • Maintaining contractor records, including insurance, specialist certifications and health & safety documentation.
  • Raising work orders for compliance inspections, planned works, complex repairs and void properties.
  • Liaising with contractors, residents and internal teams to arrange appointments and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Maintaining accurate information within property management systems.
  • Producing monitoring reports and highlighting outstanding inspections or works.
  • Supporting resident communications by phone, email, letter and text.
  • Assisting with complaint administration and ensuring residents receive timely updates.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and administrative efficiency.

About You

You'll be an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working accurately in a busy environment. You'll be confident juggling multiple priorities, communicating with a wide range of people and following processes to ensure nothing gets overlooked. You'll also bring:

  • Previous administrative experience involving accurate record-keeping, task management and the use of business systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work independently.
  • A professional, customer-focused approach when dealing with residents, contractors and colleagues.
  • Experience within property, housing or compliance administration would be advantageous, as would familiarity with housing, repairs or compliance management systems, although this isn't essential.

Why Apply?

  • Permanent, part-time position.
  • Starting salary of £27,369 FTE* (actual salary £16,421k for 22.5 hrs).
  • 22.5 hrs per week, ideally spread across five days.
  • Hybrid working pattern, with three days in the office (Mon, Wed and Fri) and two days working from home (Tues and Thurs).
  • Opportunity to join an organisation with a genuine social purpose, where the work you do each day helps ensure residents live in safe, well-maintained homes.
  • September start date.

You'll be joining a supportive team in a varied role where organisation, accuracy and great communication are highly valued. If you're looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity where you can make a real contribution while enjoying a hybrid working pattern, we'd love to hear from you.
