Are you an experienced Private Client Tax Adviser looking for genuine flexibility without compromising on the quality of your work or clients? This is an opportunity to join a respected, boutique private client firm working with high net worth individuals, families and trusts all on a fully remote, part-time basis.
Our client is a small, successful private client tax advisory firm, established in 2008 by a highly regarded tax specialist. They are known for their personal approach and long-term client relationships. They take the time to truly understand each client's circumstances, goals and priorities, delivering advice that is clear, practical and technically strong. They are now seeking a capable and motivated private client professional to join their team for around 20 hours per week, fully remote.
This role could suit someone currently working within a private client solicitors firm particularly a STEP member or TEP-qualified professional with experience in trusts and estates. The work is varied and intellectually rewarding. You will support a portfolio of high net worth individuals, families and trusts, covering both compliance and advisory matters. You'll enjoy autonomy in your role, alongside access to senior support when needed.
What you will be doing:
- Managing annual compliance for a portfolio of clients, including high net worth individuals, families and trusts
- Supporting planning and advisory work across Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, trusts and family wealth structures
- Assisting with residence, domicile and foreign income matters
- Supporting investment relief work, particularly EIS and SEIS
- Building trusted relationships with clients and professional introducers
- Working collaboratively with senior advisers to deliver a high-quality service
About You
We would love to hear from you if you bring experience in some of the following (it doesn't need to be everything):
- Personal tax compliance for high net worth individuals
- Trust and estate work (compliance and/or advisory)
- EIS and SEIS claims and associated planning
- CGT planning, including property and family scenarios
- IHT and estate planning (experience of Estate Accounts and /or IHT400 a plus)
- A client-friendly, professional communication style
- Confidence working independently, with support available
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
Qualifications such as ATT, CTA or STEP are welcomed. Our client is particularly keen to meet candidates who have trained or worked within a quality professional firm environment and bring that same rigour and care to their work.
