Our client is a pioneering community-owned renewable energy organisation, putting people at the heart of the transition to net zero. This is a rare opportunity to join the leadership team and play a key role in shaping the organisation's financial future while supporting the growth of community-led clean energy projects.

The Role

Working closely with the Managing Director, Board and Finance Sub Committee, you will provide strategic financial leadership, commercial insight and robust financial governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading long-term financial planning and portfolio modelling
  • Supporting investment appraisal, project finance and funding strategies
  • Providing financial challenge and commercial insight on new opportunities
  • Preparing and reviewing Board and committee papers and financial reporting
  • Overseeing financial controls, audit processes and statutory accounts
  • Managing and coaching the Financial Controller while providing strategic oversight of outsourced finance support

About You

You will bring senior-level finance leadership experience, ideally gained as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, Commercial Director or similar. You'll have strong commercial acumen, experience advising Boards and leadership teams, and the ability to translate complex financial information into practical strategic advice. Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, social enterprise or other mission-led sectors would be advantageous.

Whats on Offer:

This role is open to 2 or 3 days per week. Working hour pattern to be agreed (remote with 1 day in Bath office) C.£60K FTE* (pro-rata based on 37.5 hour working week) 25 days holiday entitlement (pro-rata) Employer pension 5% Vitality Health Insurance
