About the role
As Logistics & Operations Lead, youll play a pivotal role in keeping the business running smoothly and ensuring its people, processes and supply chain work effectively together. Youll line manage three experienced function leads across the business, providing clear direction, accountability and support while fostering strong relationships across different cultures and locations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing the operations team, including the overseas Country Director, Warehouse Manager and Customer & Business Support Executive Managing weekly cash planning, payment runs and accounts payable across UK and overseas entities Owning stock, demand and supply planning, including production, purchasing and freight Overseeing warehouse performance, quality control and customer/trade administration Coordinating overseas suppliers, production and logistics Maintaining accurate operational dashboards and reporting Leading process improvement, documentation and the use of AI and automation to improve efficiency Identifying risks and ensuring issues are addressed early and effectively This is a genuinely autonomous leadership role, designed to be delivered effectively within 25 hours per week, rather than requiring daily supervision.
About you essential experience and skills Youll bring: Significant experience in an operational leadership role Strong financial literacy, including cash management and accounts payable Experience managing people and holding others accountable Strong organisational, planning and process-management skills Experience working with suppliers, production, freight or logistics Confidence using accounting, inventory and order-management systems The ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and make sound decisions Excellent emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity A calm, warm and grounded management style, combined with the confidence to have difficult conversations High levels of accuracy, discretion and dependability Desirable Experience within e-commerce, retail, wholesale or another product-based business Experience managing international or remote teams Experience working across multiple entities or currencies Familiarity with systems such as Shopify and Xero Practical experience using AI and automation to streamline operational processes Experience within an ethical, purpose-led or B Corp environment The Terms 25 hours per week | Fully remote | Flexible working days The role requires regular contact with UK and overseas teams and occasional travel to the companys warehouse in Wales (LD7) currently approximately once a month.
There is also an optional opportunity for international travel. Circa £45,000 FTE, plus benefits.
