We're recruiting a Finance Lead to join a prestigious historic estate trust in Kent.
This is a rare opportunity to combine strategic financial leadership with hands-on responsibility, helping to shape the future of a unique organisation with a rich heritage.
Working closely with the leadership team and Trustees, you'll take ownership of the finance function in a broad and varied role, with responsibility for both strategic planning and day-to-day financial management.
What you'll be doing Leading the finance function and acting as a trusted adviser to the leadership team and Trustees Producing monthly management accounts, budgets and financial reports Managing cashflow, forecasting and financial planning Preparing year-end accounts and coordinating the audit process Ensuring strong financial controls, governance and compliance Overseeing payroll, VAT and statutory reporting Supporting strategic decision-making with commercial financial insight Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting What we're looking for You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in a senior finance role such as Finance Lead, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Head of Finance .
We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked within SMEs , where you've enjoyed the variety of a broad finance role and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed.
You'll be commercially minded, proactive and confident partnering with senior stakeholders and Trustees.
Experience of working with estates, property, trusts or organisations managing diverse assets would be advantageous but isn't essential.
