Are you an experienced Change and Release Manager ready to take the reins? We’re seeking a proactive self‑starting professional for an initial 6‑month contract to lead and improve the change and release processes within a fast‑paced environment.
The Role:
Drive and Govern Change
You’ll be the linchpin for ensuring that all changes and releases are planned, tested, communicated and deployed successfully and with minimal risk. Your remit will be to not only manage the existing process but also to act as a governance champion and an agent for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the entire Change and Release Management lifecycle from initial request through to deployment review.
- Chair Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings ensuring rigorous assessment and approval of all changes.
- Apply excellent governance expertise to enforce process standards, reduce risk and maintain system stability.
- Independently lead and manage all release schedules and deployment activities.
- Confidently suggest and present improvements to the current Change and Release framework to senior stakeholders driving adoption of best practices.
- Ensure clear, timely and effective communication across technology, business and operations teams regarding upcoming changes and their impact.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven in‑depth experience as a Change and Release Manager, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
- Exceptional understanding and practical application of ITIL Change Management principles and governance.
- A self‑motivated autonomous leader comfortable operating and making decisions independently.
- Demonstrable confidence in presenting, debating and influencing senior and executive‑level stakeholders on process risk and improvement initiatives.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and the wider business.
