What will you be doing?
The Academy follows a structured “Learn IT, Grow IT, Live IT” model across the two-year programme:
- Learn IT: 10 weeks of live training with the Academy Learning & Development Team; the first 5 weeks is core training to introduce a little bit of everything, followed by 5 weeks of specialised study. You’ll move into our free Academy accommodation for the first 2 weeks of core training to embed in Ten10 culture, meet your team and mentors, and assess your learning style. You will have the option to learn remotely for the remainder of the period.
- Grow IT: self-development time with potential 1-2-1 training and the opportunity to gain a professional industry certification. Ten10 will fund your self-development and industry qualifications.
- Live IT: after training, you will work on a real-time project with one of Ten10’s clients to gain hands-on experience. Client placements cover fashion brands, retailers, government departments, professional services, charities, healthcare, law firms and financial institutions; placements are across England and Scotland and relocation may be required with financial and pastoral support.
- Live IT is a continuation of learning; at the end of the two-year Academy, you may continue with Ten10 in consultancy or be offered a permanent role with your client.

Salary range
ÂŁ400 monthly bursary during training, with the offer of free accommodation (bills included). After training and start of work, starting salary will be between ÂŁ24,000 and ÂŁ27,500 with six-monthly pay increases, with a minimum of ÂŁ40,000 expected after two years.
Ten10 and you
When you apply to join the Tech Academy, your CV is reviewed, followed by a telephone interview to discuss your background and aspirations. You will complete a short aptitude test to show your natural abilities, and finally you will be invited to an Assessment Centre. We train people from all academic backgrounds and career disciplines into the next generation of technologists, with ILM-certified industry practitioners delivering the technology courses.
