Are you an experienced MIG Welder who can weld to BS EN ISO 9606-1 and BS EN ISO 5817 standards? We are looking for skilled Welders to join a well-established manufacturing business in Northampton. You’ll be part of a busy, supportive team producing high-quality metal components used across the power generation sector.
Shift: 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday
Pay: £16.50 an hour inc shift allowance
Terms: Permanent
What you’ll be doing:
- Tack and weld metal components to engineering drawings
- Check the quality of parts before and after welding
- Measure, grind, and fettle welded parts using air and electric hand tools
- Support general workshop duties as required (training provided)
What we’re looking for:
- Experienced MIG Welder who can perform Pipe to Plate Welding to the below standards.
- Ability to weld to BS EN ISO 9606-1 and BS EN ISO 5817 standards
- Production welding environment is ideal
- Able to read and work from technical drawings
- Positive, can-do attitude and hands-on approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and attention to detail
Training and Qualifications:
You’ll complete a company welding test (Pipe to Plate) before starting, and once onboard, you’ll be trained to BS EN ISO 5817 welding standard.

Manual workshop environment, working with heavy equipment using magnetic hoists and chain/strap hoists.
