One of the UKs leading manufacturers in the window blind industry who design, manufacture, supply and distribute quality components and blinds to over 100 countries is looking for a Cutting Supervisor on a full time and permanent basis based in Hyde.
38.5 hours per week: 9.30am - 18.30pm, Monday / Tuesday; 9.30am - 18.00pm, Wednesday/Thursday; 9.30am - 16.30pm, Friday.
As the Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the Cut Length areas of Finished Goods. You will be supervising and motivating a team of staff as they complete daily orders of lengths of window blind fabrics. You will ensure that the area has the materials and skills to fulfil the orders which operate on a next day delivery service, co-ordinating movements of staff, training new starters and reporting on fabric quality. You will co-ordinate regular cycle counts in the area and use our ERP system to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
If successful you will complete a three month probation period.
Essential Criteria:- Experience of supervising within a production/warehouse environment
- Knowledge and experience of performance KPIs
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well as part of a team, and independently where necessary
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Willing to learn and develop new skills
