Solicitors practice based in South West London have an opening for a part-time Legal Assistant to work 3 days a week to provide further support to their existing fee earners. This is initially a 12 month office-based role to cover maternity leave with the potential to become a permanent position. Firm specialises in property law and wills & probate work.

The role:
·Opening files
·Assist the fee earners with their conveyancing caseloads
·Liaising with clients, fee earners and relevant parties to keep all parties updated and ensure a smooth conveyancing process
·Preparation and submission of applications to the Land Registry
·Dealing with any requests from the Land Registry
·Arranging pre-completion searches
·Keeping of accurate records
·Support of other fee earners and ad hoc admin duties as arise such as file closing
·Taking on reception duties such as handling phone calls, meeting and greeting client, sorting the post and managing room bookings.

Required skills:
·Knowledge of the residential conveyancing would be beneficial
·Excellent written and oral communication skills
·Demonstrable team working skills
·Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
