Job Description – Pearl Café, Front of House Manager
Location: Isle of Wight Pearl, Brighstone
Contract: Permanent, daytime shifts only with breaks, 40 hours per week, working weekends.
Salary: £31,200pa plus commission and bonus

For nearly 40 years, we’ve helped locals and visitors to our island celebrate special moments with pearl jewellery and beautiful food. We have a new opportunity for an experienced Front of House Manager to join our much-loved Pearl Café. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will drive improvements in service to help us reach new heights.
About the role
- Take full responsibility of our café front of house to build our reputation and grow sales.
- Develop an excellent team to ensure that everyone who visits the Pearl Café receives outstanding service.
- Take ownership of our front of house food and beverage to create a wonderful offering of island focussed hot and cold drinks, cakes and alcohol.
- Manage our front-of-house team through effective rotas, regular 1:2:1s, training and clear communication, creating an environment that brings out the best in everyone.
- Lead with hands on operations of the café to delight our customers with excellent customer service.
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing invoices and cashing up.
- Ensure legal compliance with allergens, cleaning protocols as well as health and safety
- Nurture relationships with customers to increase loyalty and grow our reputation.
About you
- Experience successfully managing and developing a café, restaurant or pub front of house team is essential.
- Demonstrate a dynamic, positive and committed leadership style, with the energy and drive to lead from the front.
- Bring a network of local contacts that can help us improve our offering and drive business growth.
- You should have level 2 or above food hygiene and safety certificate.
- Passionate about food and drink, you can make great things happen whilst having fun along the way.
