Job Description
We are seeking an Advanced Scaffold Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding structures that provide safe access for workers on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, as well as the ability to work effectively in a variety of environments. The Scaffold Builder will collaborate with other tradespeople, ensuring that all scaffolding meets the necessary regulations and standards.
Duties
- Construct and assemble scaffolding structures according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Dismantle scaffolding after use, ensuring all components are accounted for and stored properly.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to fabricate scaffolding components.
- Ensure that all scaffolding is plumb, level, and secure before use.
- Collaborate with other trades such as painters, roofers, masons, electricians, carpenters, and welders to coordinate work efforts.
- Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding to ensure safety compliance and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred.
- Familiarity with various construction techniques including masonry, roofing, and electrical work is advantageous.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
