Our client is seeking a reliable and organised Stores / Warehouse / Materials Person - initially on a 6 month temporary basis which will realistically become ongoing thereafter ideally to a permanent position. The tasks involved will support daily operations within a fast-paced manufacturing stores environment. The role combines hands-on warehouse activity with administrative stock control responsibilities.
Hourly Pay Rates (includes holiday pay):
- Dayshift: 2 weeks hours 7am Monday to Friday Β£19.30ph
- Nightshift: 2 weeks hours Monday to Thursday 7pm to 7am 4 shifts per week Β£28.96ph
- Overtime available every week paid up to Β£38.96ph
Key Duties:
- Receive, check and issue stock, accurately recording all movements on the ERP system
- Produce GRNs and liaise with Purchasing as required
- Prepare kits and issue materials to the production line
- Operate forklift trucks (counterbalance; pivot desirable)
- Monitor stock levels and manage discrepant or defective materials
- Maintain a clean, organised stores area in line with 6S standards
- Uphold health, safety and wellbeing standards at all times
Skills:
- Manufacturing environment preferred
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Movex/M3 advantageous)
- Forklift licence or relevant experience (training available)
- Familiarity with 5S/6S environments
- Good IT skills and strong numerical accuracy

- Self-motivated, dependable and able to work independently
- Detail-oriented with a flexible, proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit for warehouse duties
- Willing to work as part of a nightshift rotation
