An opportunity has been created for an experienced Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Engineer with immediate effect. This is initially an ongoing contract opportunity. Permanent vacancies arise regularly where transfer to permanent employment is available to the right people. Electrical Fitters are also required.

Ten Live Ltd, on behalf of our client, require a Mechanical Fitter in the Glasgow area, an immediate start on an ongoing contract. Leading to permanent for the right person as happens regularly. This is an onsite based role with no travel to alternative sites.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering, City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical which can also include City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Manufacturing and/or Automotive industry experience
  • Heavy Engineering
  • Electrical skills would be an added bonus
  • May consider Semi-skilled Mechanical skills where the pay rate will be amended to comply

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 0730-1645, Friday 0730-1230 and Nightshift hours are Monday to Thursday 1900-0700. It will be a 2 week rotation, 2 weeks dayshift then 2 weeks nightshift.

Rates of Pay:

Earning £60k+ per annum with dayshift, nightshift and overtime. Basic £24.35ph + holidays, OT1 £36.53ph + holidays, OT2 £48.70ph + holidays. Paid - PAYE, weekly, 1 week in arrears. This is an ongoing contract with immediate start.
