We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of specialist steel fabrication and installation packages.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in project delivery within a complex engineering, construction, fabrication or nuclear environment, with the ability to manage projects from mobilisation and design coordination through procurement, fabrication, installation and final handover.
Experience within specialist steel fabrication is highly desirable. A background in quality management/quality assurance would be advantageous, as would a sound understanding of NEC contracts and commercial project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned steelwork projects and packages.
- Manage projects against agreed programme, budget, quality, safety and contractual requirements.
- Act as the principal point of contact between the company, HPC, main contractors, designers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate Compensation events and commercial matters with team in accordance with the applicable contract.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, site teams, fabrication facilities and senior management.
- Ensure project documentation, inspection records, quality records and handover documentation are completed to the required standard.
- Work closely with the Quality function to ensure compliance with project specifications, ITPs, inspection requirements and relevant standards.
- Identify and manage project risks, constraints and interfaces.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear progress reporting to senior management and the client.
- Ensure that lessons learned are captured and incorporated into future projects.
Hours of work β Likely Mon to Fri (7am to 5pm and 3pm on a Friday β TBC)
Salary β Β£60k to Β£70k per annum DOE
