General Manager in Wigan

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead operations across our fabrication facility.

The Role :

Reporting directly to MD, the Genaral Manager will oversee all aspects of site operations, ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and profitability in a results-driven environment. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational understanding, exceptional people management skills, and the ability to deliver outstanding performance through your team.

Key Responsibilities :

• As the General Manager you will oversee daily operations of the fabrication facility, from production and quality control to logistics and customer satisfaction.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and output.
• Manage budgets, performance metrics, and reporting to meet and exceed business targets.
• Motivate, coach, and develop staff across departments to foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
• Collaborate closely with leadership to implement strategic plans and achieve long-term growth objectives.

About You :

• Proven experience in a senior management or general management role within manufacturing, fabrication, or a related industry.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead by example.
• As the General Manager / Operations Manager you will have excellent operational knowledge, with a keen understanding of production workflows and quality standards.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on performance improvement and business outcomes.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
