The Opportunity
This is a senior, high‑impact role for a commercially minded professional with strong sector knowledge. You will work closely with an established internal sales team while taking ownership of external business development activity, building relationships with key decision‑makers across social housing providers, local authorities, and Tier 1 contractors.
As the business development manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping our market presence, securing new opportunities, and strengthening our position as a trusted partner in the commercial and social housing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with and develop a successful internal sales team
- Drive external business development activity across social housing, commercial contractors, and Tier 1 construction partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, asset managers, main contractors, and installation partners
- Identify and secure new project opportunities, frameworks, and long‑term supply agreements
- Represent the business at client meetings, site visits, industry events, and tender presentations
- Work closely with technical, estimating, and operations teams to ensure accurate proposals and excellent service delivery
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pipeline performance to inform strategic decisions
- Support the senior leadership team with forecasting, planning, and commercial strategy
