The Gym‑Based HIIT Pilates Instructor delivers a fast‑paced, full‑body interval training class that blends reformer Pilates, mat work, and weighted exercises. This role requires strong group‑training skills, excellent time management, and the ability to coach participants of varied abilities through a structured, high‑intensity circuit format. The instructor ensures every class is safe, motivating, and aligned with the studio's programming standards.
Availability Requirement
We are specifically looking for instructors who are available to teach during our peak trading times:
- Weekdays: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
- Weekends: 12:00pm – 1:00pm

Rate of Pay
This is a freelance position paid at £30 per hour.
Your responsibilities
Class Delivery
- Teach a 60‑minute Gym‑Based HIIT Pilates class following the prescribed structure, including:
- 10‑minute warm‑up using the standard 7‑exercise sequence.
- Three training blocks, each consisting of 6 stations (2 reformer, 2 mat, 2 weights).
- 1‑minute work / 30‑second rest intervals, repeated twice per block.
- Cool‑down and mobility segment.
Programming & Exercise Selection
- Select appropriate movements for each block, ensuring a balanced mix of lower‑body, core, and upper‑body exercises.
- Choose equipment suitable for paired use (e.g., dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, medicine balls).
- Avoid equipment not suited to the class format (e.g., barbells, TRX, CV machines).
Participant Management
- Welcome clients, introduce the class format, and create an encouraging environment.
- Offer progressions, regressions, and safe alternatives for varied ability levels.
- Identify when the class may be unsuitable for participants with significant injuries and redirect them to beginners' classes or physiotherapy when appropriate.
Safety & Studio Standards
- Prepare the room before class: clear hazards, set up 6 mats, adjust air‑con, and start music.
- Write the session plan on the mirror/board during warm‑up.
- Ensure participants clean equipment and mats after class.
- Use appropriate cleaning tools (e.g., green gun for weights and reformers).
- Maintain a tidy, safe training environment throughout.
Professional Conduct
- Uphold consistency in class delivery and warm‑up structure.
