A Central London firm is looking for a commercial property solicitor to work at their office located a short walk from Liverpool Street Underground Station. Ideally, they are looking for a solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE in comm prop work. There will be scope for hybrid working with plenty of remote working but some weekly office attendance will be required.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum 3 years' PQE with a strong background in commercial property
- Proven experience managing a varied commercial property caseload independently
- Sound technical knowledge with strong commercial and financial awareness
- Experience acting for developers, investors, and/or lenders
- Confident communicator with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing deadlines effectively
- Strong client-handling skills with a commercial, business-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities
The role will include (but not be limited to):
- Acting on a wide range of commercial property transactions, including:
- Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property (freehold and leasehold)
- Acting for developers on site acquisitions, development schemes, and onward disposals
- Commercial leasing (landlord and tenant), including agreements for lease
- Real estate finance and secured lending transactions, acting for lenders and borrowers
- Investment property matters for portfolio clients
- Managing files from instruction to completion with a high degree of autonomy
- Providing clear, commercial, and solution-focused advice to clients
- Liaising directly with clients, agents, lenders, and other professional advisers
- Supporting Partners on complex, high-value or time-sensitive transactions as required
- Maintaining excellent client service standards and building long-term client relationships
- Contributing to business development initiatives and the wider growth of the department
- Ensuring compliance with SRA, AML, and internal regulatory requirements
