Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice in New Mills, located in the picturesque High Peak area, is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team on a fixed-term contract. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Derbyshire countryside, the practice offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and friendly environment while enjoying excellent local amenities and transport links.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time fixed-term contract, working 5 days per week with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota (8:00 – 16:30). One day per week will be worked at a nearby partnering practice in Buxton.
Role Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient and client care. Responsibilities include supporting surgical procedures, conducting nurse-led appointments, schedule 3 activities, patient monitoring, medication dispensing, and coordinating patient admissions and discharges. The role also involves team briefings and upholding regulatory and operational standards. Development is encouraged, with CPD and certification support included.
Team Size
The team consists of a Branch Partner, two additional Vets, a Practice Manager, one RVN, two Student Nurses, and a supportive client care team. The practice also works closely with a partnering location in Buxton.
