Independent Living Housing Officer

• To provide an effective, holistic enhanced and core housing management service to customers living within our independent living housing portfolio.

• You will ensure our customers stay as independent as possible, knowing and responding effectively when people need extra help.

• Provide an enhanced level of presence, visibility, and accessibility to your customers. You will be their dedicated point of contact throughout their tenancy and be available to them in flexible ways that meet the needs of each scheme or customer.

• Use a risk-based approach to schedule and complete scheme-based Health and Safety Inspections and Neighbourhood Inspections. Always take responsibility for site issues and risks, whenever they arise, and ensure they are resolved or managed effectively.

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.

• At least 2 years’ experience within a Independent Living Housing Officer role or equivalent.

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent to include English.

• Knowledge of the housing sector and current housing issues.
