Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority based in West Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced Treasury Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their corporate & strategic finance directorate.
Position: Treasury Manager
Salary: £56,683 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Purpose:
- Working within the Corporate and Strategic Finance Team, you will collaborate with senior leaders, finance managers and services across the organisation to deliver a modern, forward-thinking treasury management service. You will help shape the future direction of Finance, drive continuous improvement and support the Council in meeting both today's challenges and tomorrow's opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leading the management of the Council's treasury portfolio, including debt exceeding £800 million and cash balances of over £100 million.
- Developing and delivering all aspects of the Council's Treasury management function.
- Managing both short and long-term cash flow, investments and borrowing strategies.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Recognised CCAB qualification or recognised Stock Market qualification (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst, Member of IIMR, Member of Securities Institute) OR studying towards similar qualifications OR qualified by experience.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
