Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy client based in Bedford, are looking for an experienced Team Leader Housing & Pollution to join their team and play a crucial role in their Environment & Sustainable Communities operations.
Rate: £50.83 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) Possible Extension
Purpose: To provide specialist professional support to help ensure satisfactory delivery of the reactive and planned workload in relation to the Community Regulation team within Environmental services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Manager for Community Regulation with the day-to-day management and co-ordination of relevant Community Regulation functions, ensuring they are carried out in line with quality procedures, Council policy and statutory obligations.
- Determine the priority and deployment of resources, staff and assets, the allocation of work and leading on tasks and projects to achieve successful enforcement actions.
- Act as a point of experience, knowledge & support to other officers through the preparation of prosecution files and provide specialist professional support and advice, in line with appropriate competencies, to team members, local stakeholders and other directorate service areas.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Must hold a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health together with an EHORB Certificate of Registration.
- Must have competencies obtained equivalent to substantial post EHORB registration with substantial experience of pollution control, statutory nuisance (including noise control), planning, housing and public protection.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
