Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, an Education Institute in South West London, are looking for an experienced Teacher in ASD and Behaviour to join their team and play a crucial role in their Inclusive Learning department.
Position: Teacher of ASD and Behavioural Concerns
Rate: £28 p/h (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: 4 months with Possible Extension
Essential: Enhanced DBS required for this position
Purpose:
You’ll be responsible for delivering early developmental curriculum for SEN students within a specialist provision (ASD, Behaviours of concern and Learning Disabilities).
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with adults with SEN to provide high quality support across the Foundations curriculum (Level 1 - Level 3).
- Cover pre-prepared lessons and activities, in teacher absences, whilst maintaining engagement from learners.
- Support with team briefings, EHCP's, and meetings/reviews.
- Manage behaviour concerns in line with strategies, safeguarding and educational policies.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an educational institute or a similar organisation.
- At least 2 years experience within a Foundation Lecturer role or equivalent.
- Knowledge of SEND Strategies, Frameworks and Accreditations.
- Experience working within the development, and changes, of Further Education including Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
- Recognised professional qualification within Teaching.
