JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for experienced Support Workers to join our Day Services team, supporting older adults with dementia and complex physical and mental health needs. This is a lively, rewarding role focused on helping people live fulfilling, active days through meaningful activities, outings, and social engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality personal care and emotional support
  • Supporting people with dementia and complex needs in a day service setting
  • Planning and delivering engaging activities, outings, and social opportunities
  • Encouraging independence and participation in the community
  • Ensuring safeguarding, dignity, and wellbeing at all times
  • Working collaboratively as part of a diverse, established team

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

  • Substantial experience in community care, residential care, supported living, or similar complex care environments
  • Experience supporting individuals with dementia and complex physical and mental health needs
  • Up-to-date or previous training in: Moving & Handling, Safeguarding, Infection Prevention & Control, Basic care training (e.g. medication awareness, food safety/Cafita)
  • A confident, outgoing personality with creativity and enthusiasm for activities
  • Ability to keep people engaged, entertained, and active both on-site and out in the community
