Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, based in the East of England region, are looking for a Family Support Practitioner to work within Children’s Services.

Position: Family Support Practitioner

Rate: £19.73ph – £23.37ph (Umbrella)

Contract Duration: 3–6 Months

Purpose: Working directly with families to deliver practical support and supervise Family Time, ensuring safe and positive outcomes for children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct working with children and families within their homes and community settings.
  • Supervise and facilitate Family Time (Supervised Contact) sessions.
  • Observe and assess parent and child interactions to support court processes.
  • Safeguard children and ensure their wellbeing at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of sessions, outcomes and any concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with Social Workers and other professionals.
  • Transport children to and from Family Time sessions where required.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have experience working with children and families within Children’s Services (minimum 3 years).
  • Experience supervising Family Time or contact sessions.
  • MUST be a car driver with access to a vehicle.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseloads.
