Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Revenues Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their revenues & benefits operations.
Position: Revenues Officer
Rate: Β£19.02 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Fully Remote
Purpose:
- Administer council tax and business rates, ensuring accurate and prompt billing, collection, and recovery of accounts.
- Obtain and assess information to determine local taxation liability in accordance with legislation. This includes determination and allowance of discounts, reliefs, and exemptions.
- Accurately update and maintain the revenues databases to ensure prompt and accurate billing, collection, and recovery of accounts.
- Respond appropriately to enquiries received from citizens, businesses and agents and action amendments to accounts.
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Experience within a Revenues Officer role or equivalent.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
