Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a Client based in Bath, are looking for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Legal Services.
Position: Employment Lawyer
Rate: £60 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (Dec 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Purpose:
- To provide effective legal advice and representation within the Commercial and Governance legal team to the organisation and external clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and equal pay, including drafting pleadings and conducting advocacy.
- Provide guidance on contracts of employment, HR policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, absence management, and restructures.
- Negotiate settlement agreements, handle ACAS early conciliation, and manage exit packages.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) in England and Wales with a current practicing certificate.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
