Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy client based in Southampton, are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team and play a crucial role in their employee relations operations.
Rate: £66 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Feb 2027) Possible Extension
Purpose: To provide legal advice, advocacy and representation to the County Council’s departments, committees, members and other client bodies (in relation to complicated issues of both a contentious and non-contentious nature).
Job Responsibilities:
- To prepare cases, including researching law as required, interviewing clients and comprehensively briefing counsel where necessary.
- Responsible for a caseload of ranging complexity, with a high proportion of more complex and higher risk cases.
- Oversee and support junior legal staff with complex case work.
- To effectively represent the County Council and other client bodies at Court & tribunals, undertaking advocacy as required to a high professional standard in order to achieve client and organisational aims and objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister.
- Excellent knowledge and recent experience of providing legal advice in complex cases, relevant to the role.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
