Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, based in South London, is looking for a Service Manager to work within the Family Support and Child Protection team.

Position: Service Manager - Family Support and Child Protection

Rate: Β£400 per day (Umbrella)

Contract Duration: 3 months with Possible Extension

Essentials:

  • Confident, experienced Service Manager with at least 5 years experience
  • Enhanced DBS required for this position
  • Registered with SWE
  • Recognised Social Work Qualification

Purpose:

Working in a multi-agency to ensure safe and excellent delivery within children's services. Supporting with current and future strategies, in accordance with statutory framework and government policy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of day-to-day business within the service area and promoting children's best interest.
  • Understanding of government and council policies, legislation, and procedures.
  • Budget and expenditure management in line with finance regulations.
  • Multi-agency working, to ensure service relationships are maintained between Council departments, such as Education and Housing.
  • Leading on project management within Children's Social Care, Schools, Statutory and Voluntary Agencies.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years experience within an English Local Authority (in line with DFE)
  • Previous frontline Manager experience (Minimum 5 years)
  • Comfortable delivering safe services within a multi-agency environment, using people and management skills to ensure excellent outcomes are consistently delivered.
