Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Bedfordshire, are looking for an experienced Service Director For Corporate Finance to join their team and play a crucial role in their financial operations.
Position: Service Director For Corporate Finance
Location: Bedfordshire
Contract: 3 months (Possible Extension)
Rate: £900 a day (Umbrella)
Duties:
- Oversee that all services are delivered within budget, and that proactive medium term financial planning is in place to increase impact and reduce net costs.
- Support the development of individuals and teams to develop career pathways to ensure a talent pipeline for the organisation.
- Lead on the Treasury Management Strategy and operations, provide advice to Members and the Leadership Team on investment and borrowing options.
- Manage the technical finance functions of AP/AR function in line with agreed KPI's, the provision of tax advice and oversee control processes.
Job Requirements:
- Must be qualified CCAB or equivalent (preferably CIPFA).
- Previous experience of working within a local government environment or a similar organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of budget planning and management, financial reporting and monitoring.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data and legislation.
- Significant experience of operating at a senior management level with evidence of driving solution based, responsive and customer focused services for residents.
