Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Bedfordshire, are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their environment & property operations.
Position: Senior Procurement Officer
Location: Bedfordshire
Rate: £500 a day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months (Possible Extension)
Hybrid Working: 1 day in the office
Duties:
- Leading on commissioning and procurement projects and activity within Environment, Property & Corporate areas.
- Preparation and delivery of procurement and commissioning activity plans.
- Delivery of tender exercises and projects for higher value/risk procurement projects within agreed service commissioning / procurement programme.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification and/or educated to degree level or equivalent and with experience of working in local government or the public sector.
- Substantial experience at a senior level in relation to contracting, procurement and commissioning.
- Experience of providing specialist procurement advice and guidance to managers at all levels of seniority.
- Experience of establishing effective contractual arrangements with suppliers and of managing contracts.
