Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Buckinghamshire, are looking for an experienced Senior Highways Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in their highways operations.
Position: Senior Highways Engineer
Location: Buckinghamshire
Rate: £50 p/h Umbrella
Contract: 6 months (Possible Extension)
Job Responsibilities:
- Leading responses to planning application consultations and providing
specialist advice on modelling and highway scheme design. - Evaluating infrastructure design and construction proposals submitted to the Council by developers, contractors and other third parties.
- Leading, managing, coordinating and implementing the highways development control process.
- Consulting and liaising with elected Members, partner organisations,
stakeholders and members of the public on matters. - Preparing briefs and assisting with the supervision and management of
consultants undertaking contracted work.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience working within a highways engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of highways legislation, standards and practices.
- Experience of highways development control and planning application
consultations. - Experience of managing or supervising consultants and external contractors.
- Ability to assess and advise on highway modelling, infrastructure design and construction proposals.
