Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced SAP Manager to join their team and play a crucial role within their IT operations.
Position: SAP Manager
Rate: £32.80 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Aug 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (1 day in the office)
Job Purpose: Working in IT Services in the Architect and Systems team to lead and deliver SAP business system support, maintenance, configuration and development that ensures that the department meets and exceeds agreed service levels to its customers.
Job Duties:
- Manage and lead the SAP business systems team and be part of the IT services management team.
- Support, maintain, configure and develop SAP business systems to meet and/or exceed agreed service levels.
- Maintain an understanding of advances in the relevant technology environment and be able to deliver expert advice while looking at ways that new technology can be implemented to deliver service improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- At least 3 years experience working at a senior level in an ICT environment, 2 years experience in the management of staff, projects or a function and educated to degree standard or equivalent in a recognised discipline or Professional Management qualification.
- OR at least 5 years experience working at a senior level in an ICT environment AND 2 years experience in the management of staff, projects or a function.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
