Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West Midlands, are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their quantity surveying operations.
Position: Quantity Surveyor
Rate: £400 per day (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (March 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre-tender estimates, cost plans, and robust financial forecasts for capital programmes, housing maintenance, and regeneration schemes.
- Lead the tender process, draft contract documentation, analyze contractor bids, and manage formal public procurement rules.
- Administer standard forms of contract (such as JCT or NEC).
Job Requirements:
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor (or procurement professional) with a strong background in local authority and public sector projects.
- Sound knowledge of the Public Procurement Act 2023 and public sector procurement compliance requirements.
- Proven ability in delivering pre-contract and procurement activities.
