Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a Public Sector based in Barnsley, are looking for an experienced Pest Control Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their commercial services.
Position: Pest Control Officer
Rate: £34.79 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (Nov 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Purpose: To provide within both domestic and commercial premises, a safe, high quality and comprehensive service for the eradication and prevention of infestation of a wide range of pests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations to identify a solution in line with the latest council, service and legislative policies.
- Prepare quotes, costings and contracts, demonstrating commercial awareness to ensure the best interests of the council are met.
- Develop all appropriate site, inspection, costing, treatment and contract monitoring plans.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - preferred but not essential.
- RSPH/BPCA (Level 2) Award in Pest Management or equivalent.
- IOSH Working Safely or similar.
- Experience of working within a pest control environment.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
