Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in the Northwest, are looking for a Personal Advisor to join their Leaving Care team.
Purpose
Supporting care leavers aged 18+ as they transition into adulthood, helping them access education, employment, training, accommodation and develop the skills needed for independent living.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of care leavers, including Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers.
- Supporting young people with education, employment, training and accommodation.
- Providing guidance around independent living and life skills.
- Working with partner agencies to support vulnerable young people and advocate for their needs.
Job Requirements
- Direct experience of working with young people and supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and Leaving Care Act 2000.
- Compassionate approach when supporting young people affected by trauma, loss or separation.
- Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team and across different services.
