JOB SUMMARY

As Locality Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of seven social workers, providing strong leadership and direction to ensure high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children and young people. You will drive and oversee the delivery of services that assess need and provide timely, effective intervention to support children and young people who require help and protection.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Lead, manage, and support a locality team of social workers
  • Ensure high-quality, child-centred practice and timely interventions
  • Promote strong multi-agency working within Early Help Hubs
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing, resilient workforce
  • Ensure practice is compliant with relevant legislation, policy, and guidance

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

  • A recognised professional social work qualification and current registration with the relevant professional body
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams and develop a high-performing service
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative and policy frameworks impacting children’s services
