JOB SUMMARY
The Team Manager is responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed across the two partner organisations. The post holder will be accountable both from a qualitative and quantitative perspective for all service aspects within this team, ensuring that risks are managed appropriately and that people who make use of Social Care mental health services are served with understanding and compassion by the multi-disciplinary team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Provide strong leadership and management of a team, enabling members to embrace and move forward with changes in a positive, enthusiastic and effective way
- To ensure that workloads are prioritised and allocated effectively
- To be responsible for the maintenance of high standards of work within the service through the monitoring of performance in relation to assessment and care management, self-directed support, file recording, auditing, workload distribution, staffing and direct provision.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- Educated to degree level in a health or social care discipline with current SW England registration
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
- Demonstrable experience of working in a health or social care management role
- Experience of working with people who experience serious ongoing mental health problems
