Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Traffic Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Traffic Operations.
Position: Traffic Engineer
Rate: £28.11 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Work arrangement: Hybrid
Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting and delivering the Traffic Order Making process, from preparation through to implementation
- Assisting with and progressing traffic and highway schemes within agreed timescales
- Preparing reports, correspondence, and statutory documentation
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation, council policies, and best value principles
- Attending meetings and, where required, public consultations
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- At least 2 year experience within a Traffic Engineer role or equivalent.
- Qualification in Transportation Planning or a related discipline
