JOB DESCRIPTION

The duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure business and residents comply with health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Inspections & Investigations: Conduct site visits, audits and investigations into complaints, helping to monitor public health standards.
  • Enforcement: Gather evidence and maintain case files to write reports, supporting legal proceedings where necessary.
  • Public Advice: Provide clear and accurate advice to internal teams, businesses, stakeholders and the public.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

  • Experience in a regulatory, environmental health, scientific or compliance based role.
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Environmental Health, Science or closely related field.
  • Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice and local enforcement processes.
  • Strong case management and data record-keeping skills.
