Technical Officer (Noise & Nuisance) in London

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in South West London, are looking for an experienced Technical Officer (Noise & Nuisance) to join their team and play a crucial role within their Environmental Operations.

Position: Technical Officer (Noise & Nuisance)
Rate: £26.52 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: Temporary (End of Aug 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Job Duties:

• To investigate service requests relating to ‘statutory nuisance’.
• Investigation of service requests relating to pest and vermin control in the commercial sector.
• Investigation of service requests relating to faulty drainage in the commercial sector.
• To represent the Local Authority at meetings, both internal and external and liaise with other authorities.

Job Requirements:

• Must have extensive knowledge and experience of responding to statutory nuisance complaints under Environmental Protection 1990 and dealing with constructions sites under the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
• You must have excellent communication and customer care skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• A full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle is essential.
• 2 Years experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation
• 2 years experience working within a Technical Officer role or similar
