Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Strategic HR Business Partner to join their team and play a crucial role within their human resources operations.
Position: Strategic HR Business Partner
Rate: Β£27.56 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Sep 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Mainly Remote
Job Purpose:
- The postholder is responsible for leading the delivery and development of an excellent Human Resources provision to the Council, with a particular focus on strategic HR Business Partner support for the Culture, Environment and Economy.
Job Duties:
- The HR Business Partner will demonstrate behaviours and competencies to transform the HR service, ensuring it delivers highly effective outcome-focused and proactive support to the directorates and implement all areas of policy development effectively.
- Casework including complex casework, organisational change, and policy development within the Human Resources remit are progressed, concluded, and implemented within deadlines, KPIs and in line with existing SLA.
- Provide an effective, consistent, and responsive HR service to meet customer need, covering all areas of HR remit. Expert employee relations advice and support is provided to managers and directors from start to finish.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- A full understanding of the current educational and political climate how Human Resources can support and add value.
- Demonstrable record of achievement in employee relations, specifically complex casework, TUPE, and strategic and operational human resources projects.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
