Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their finance and assurance operations.

Position: Senior Finance Officer

Rate: £350 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Contract Duration: Temporary (Oct 2026) Possible Extension

Division: Children's Social Care

Purpose: To provide accountancy support and advice within the Finance & Assurance division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertake budget preparation, budget monitoring and closure of accounts work.
  • Provide a range of professional financial support, advice and information to budget managers and more senior members of the Finance Division.
  • To complete financial and statistical returns and grant claims.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation within the public sector.
  • AAT qualified or part qualified CCAB (or equivalent) or demonstrable relevant experience.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
