Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance and Resources operations.

Job Purpose: A key focus of the role will be overseeing the Temporary Accommodation and the Supported Exempt Accommodation portfolio. Supporting the Housing General Fund and Resident Services Directorate. This is a high-profile role at the heart of one of the council's most important priorities, providing strategic financial support across a broad range of housing and resident-facing services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support all officers within their service area, providing them with high level professional advice on a very broad range of financial issues and their relation to the council's corporate and managerial objectives.
  • Produce accurate budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Analyse cost drivers, demand trends, and financial risks within Temporary Accommodation and homelessness services.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • CCAB Qualified Accountant.
  • Experience of providing financial advice and leadership in a large and complex organisation, working with a high degree of professional independence and integrity.
