Senior Environmental Protection Officer in London

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Protection Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Environmental Operations

Position: Senior Environmental Protection Officer
Rate: £34.34 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: 5 months with a possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Duties:

• Take a key role in undertaking and assisting with Environmental Protection and noise nuisance related investigations and carrying out law enforcement.
• Undertake reactive visits and proactive investigations, taking any necessary remedial actions in line with agreed levels of competency.
• Assist in the production of reports to council committee and other bodies.
• Periodically check signed statutory notices produced by junior team members in relation to quality, accuracy and appropriateness in line with delegated duties.

Job Requirements:

• Degree, Diploma, Apprenticeship or Certificate in Environmental Health.
• Valid UK driving licence with a personal vehicle.
• Experience of preparing and giving evidence as a witness at court / tribunal hearing / council committees.
• Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation
• Previous experience working within a Senior Environmental Protection Officer or similar
