Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in their ICT & Workplace operations.
Position: Senior Cloud Engineer
Rate: £500 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Purpose:
- Lead on designing, delivering and optimising self-service cloud infrastructure, operating systems, and business applications to ensure that our platforms and services are secure, high performing and sustainable.
- Understand the need to maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of information systems through compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, and design solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered as mitigation against security threats as a core part of the solutions and services.
- Define, analyse, plan, forecast, measure, maintain and improve all aspects of the availability and capacity of services. Ensure the correct implementation of standards and procedures, identify capacity issues specifying and instigating the required changes and know how to initiate remedial action.
- Collaborate with others to develop and review specifications and use these agreed specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using standards and tools compatible with relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices.
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Is fully familiar with recognised industry bodies of knowledge both generic and specific, and knowledge of the business, suppliers, partners, competitors and clients.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
